This Privacy Policy explains how MD Editor ("we", "us", "the app") handles your information. MD Editor is an iOS Markdown editor that is currently in development; this is a preliminary policy and will be finalised before the app is released on the App Store.

Information we collect

MD Editor is designed to work without an account. Your documents are yours.

Your documents — the Markdown files you create and edit are stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud. We do not have access to their contents.
Diagnostics — if the app crashes, anonymous crash and performance data may be shared through Apple to help us fix problems. This never includes the contents of your documents.

How we use it

To provide the editor and keep your files available across your devices via iCloud.
To diagnose crashes and improve stability and performance.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your documents with anyone. Limited technical data may be processed by Apple as part of providing iCloud sync and crash reporting, under Apple's own privacy terms.

Data retention & deletion

Because your documents live on your device and in your iCloud, you stay in control: deleting a file in the app, or removing the app, removes that data from our reach. We do not keep a separate copy.

Children's privacy

MD Editor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

As MD Editor moves from development to release, this policy will be updated to reflect the final feature set. The "last updated" date above will change when it does.
